Austenitic Stainless Steel: A type of stainless steel with a predominantly face-centered cubic austenitic microstructure (γ phase). It is non-magnetic and primarily strengthened through cold working (which may lead to some magnetism).
Austenitic-Ferritic (Duplex) Stainless Steel: A type of stainless steel with both austenitic and ferritic phases in its matrix (the smaller phase typically comprising more than 15%). It is magnetic and can be strengthened through cold working.
Ferritic Stainless Steel: A type of stainless steel with a predominantly body-centered cubic ferritic microstructure (α phase). It is magnetic and generally cannot be hardened by heat treatment, but cold working can slightly strengthen it.
Martensitic Stainless Steel: A type of stainless steel with a martensitic microstructure. It is magnetic, and its mechanical properties can be adjusted through heat treatment.
Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steel: A type of stainless steel with an austenitic or martensitic microstructure that can be hardened (strengthened) through precipitation hardening (also known as age hardening).
Stainless steel: 1Cr18Ni9Ti, 0Cr18Ni9, 00Cr19Ni10, 0Cr17Ni12Mo2Ti, 00Cr17Ni14Mo2, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, etc. 3. Stainless steel elbows possess certain resistance to corrosion (oxidizing acids, organic acids, cavitation), heat, and wear. They are commonly used in power plants, chemical plants, and petroleum equipment. Stainless steel elbows have poor weldability; therefore, attention should be paid to welding processes, heat treatment conditions, and the selection of appropriate welding electrodes.
