Q: When should Super Duplex Steel 2507 blind flanges be selected?
A: Normally, blind flanges need to share the same material as mating pipe flanges. If the entire pipeline uses Super Duplex 2507, the supporting blind flanges should be 2507 as well. They are primarily applied for chloride-containing working conditions including seawater.
Q: Is the material forged or plate?
A: We normally forge from round steel billets. For extra-large diameters, cut plate will only be used occasionally with the customer's approval.
